Citizens and Culture
Meet the Population
The population of Fanland is all human. The people all live in the big cities in Fanland simply because there's more to do and see there. For the most part, the popualtion of this country is enormous. The population is usually around 300,000 people. Normally, the people in Fanland stay for a period of time, and then leave later back to reality to find jobs and make a living. However, the residents are more than welcome to continue to stay. The people here normally stay put within the country, but the people within the country travel to other places besides just Fanland.
Cultural Traits
The people here obviously blog. Most of them make websites and other things, and some of them are really popular YouTubers. These websites are sold all around the world to several different countries. Fanland and the creater both make money from the website, depending on well it does. A lot of them really take off. Here, blogging can actually become your occupation, and some are extremely successful. The others write fanfiction. Some of them are extremely good writers. In a sense, Fanland, gives them a tiny bit of experience if they want to writers or anything else with writing or maybe journalism.
Their beliefs are pretty simple and basic. They believe in leaving each other alone, so there is little to no bullying within Fanland. The people here also get along really well since they all have many things in common. The people here are very relaxed, and they're hardly ever mean to anybody, unless they mess with their favorite book series, band, music, etc. They believe in living together in peace and not messing with anybody's fandoms. In a nut shell, the people here don't like starting trouble unless people talk about their favorite book, movie, band, etc.
The people here eat the same American food we do. However, there's a slight difference. There are a lot of people from different countries all over the world, and they sometimes bring their foods over to the country. Some of them even open restaurants that serve their own food, if they want extra money besides their blog. (not all of them make it)
There are several challenges to living in societies like this one. For one, since there are so many blogs run by people in Fanland, it is hard to have your own blog take off and become popular. Often, an even amount don't become popular. Normally, in this case if the blog doesn't become popular like the rest do, the people return to wherever they came from to find another occupation. Also at certain times, the atmosphere here can be full of temsion due to fighting among fandoms on blogs.
Religion
The people here are fully accepted by each other, even if each person has a different religion. There's a motto around Fanland when it comes to conflict towards religion: "Whatever God you may believe in, we come from the same one." This normally ceases all arguments about religion. About half of the population claim to lack a specific religion, and the other half practice whatever religion they choose to.
Social Structure
There isn't a technical social structure here. Every person here is seen as a human being, and everybody in this country is (hopefully) human so why treat them differently if they're no different than you based on the amount of money they may or may not have?
Family is extremely important to the people that live here. The people that live here obviously already love their real family, but they also love their fandom family. See, fandoms here are taken seriously. Even though the fandoms may fight a lot, they all have one big thing in common, they all share the same addiction towards a specific thing. They're all fangirls at heart and they all respect each other for that. In a sense, it's one huge, dysfunctional family.
